You can use apple cider vinegar to add some sweet tang to practically every element of cooking. It is an incredibly versatile product. We’ll demonstrate how to pickle a variety of veggies, prepare a zesty vinaigrette or marinade, and a ton of other culinary tricks to make the most of what will undoubtedly become your next pantry essential.

  1. 120 ml, or ½ cup, of apple cider vinegar

  3. Pour over salad. Drizzle a little of the dressing over your crisp green salad. Most leafy greens go nicely with this dressing, but kale or arugula are my favorites. Slices of apple and fresh walnuts complement the dressing as well.
  4. Marinate the veggies and meat. Once everything is well combined, whisk in the marinade and let it sit for approximately half an hour, stirring now and then. Once the meat and vegetables are set, add them and let them marinate for a few hours. You can either put the meat, vegetables, and marinade in a big freezer bag, or you can keep everything in the same dish that you mixed it all in and just cover it up. Cook the meat and vegetables last.
  5. You can use apple cider vinegar in place of wine or balsamic vinegar in marinades. Its hint of acidity and sweetness counterbalances the savory flavors of the meats and veggies.
  6. Create a more intricate marinade. Think about adding some other ingredients to your marinade if you want it to have even more taste. Items such as Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, spicy sauce, onion flakes, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder can be considered among them. These items will add extra taste to the meat, especially when used with pig and chicken.

Using apple cider vinegar for pickling

Prepare the brine. Combine the vinegar, water, and salt in a big pot. Set the saucepan on the stovetop and heat it until it begins to boil. After five minutes of simmering, take the brine from the stove. Give it a few minutes to cool.

 Thoroughly wash and dry the cucumbers and dill. Then place the pickles upright in a large mason jar. The pickles should come within ½ inch (1.27 cm) of the top of the jar. Finally, insert the dill sprigs in amongst the pickles.

  • You can also slice the cucumbers and pickle them as spears.
  • You can also add cloves of garlic, onions, or other vegetables to the jar for some added flavor.
  • Fill the jar with brine. After you’ve arranged your cucumbers, fill the jar to the top with brine. To remove air bubbles, tap the jar several times on a level surface. Without canning, the pickles will keep for a few weeks. However, if properly canned and not opened, pickles can last for several years.
  • Allow the pickles to sit for at least 48 hours to achieve the greatest taste.
  • Add fluff to cakes and cookies. Vinegar is a common element in numerous desserts. When vinegar combines with baking soda, it produces carbon dioxide bubbles, which bakers utilize to add fluffiness to cakes and other baked goods. Bakers choose apple cider vinegar because of its sweet and fruity flavor. Furthermore, the vinegar flavor is completely removed from the ultimate product during cooking.
  • Balance the saltiness. If you prepare a particularly salty sauce, soup, or gravy, add a small amount of apple cider vinegar to help balance the dish. A sprinkle of apple cider vinegar, while the sauce is simmering, can reduce the salinity and add a sense of sweetness. You can also use it to reduce the saltiness of cheese sauces.
